Foti By Chrome Hearts was born in 2002 during our first exhibition in Tokyo called “Fisting Scars”. After we completed the art for this exhibition we had a few weeks before the opening so we started making little sculptures to dress up the display cabinets. We had about six characters & none of them were really for sale. During the exhibitions opening night many people asked about them & wanted to buy them. Not sure what to do I asked Richard how much I should sell them for. Richard thought for a second & then said “ Don’t sell any of them & let me take them back to the Los Angeles Chrome Hearts factory & maybe we can start some kind of line with them”. We try to make our skull creatures not so dark but all with a sense of humor & that combines well with Chrome Hearts”. Since then from those first few pieces it has grown into 12 unique characters with personalities all of their own. We now have rings, pendants, chains, t-shirts & a whole host of odd items made using our 12 characters. The collection is available at all Chrome Hearts locations.

Clitzen
Clitzen born March 14, 1999 in the Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo Japan. Clitzen a trained pilot has over 90 thousand hours of flight time since birth. Clitzen is especially fond of flying into hurricanes & tornados. Has skin that tastes like butterscotch. Gets moody around crustaceans. Able to communicate with all horticulture. Never stays in one place for a long time. Clitzen gets the name from a cross between Santa’s famous reindeer Blitzen & the famous lady part.
Harris Teeter
Harris Teeter born May 3, 1999 in Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo Japan. Very Funny with a huge heart. An award winning dancer. Can recite any wizard poem. Transmits a power wifi signal. Former pole dancer at The Shark Bar. Plays bluegrass hammer. Claims that Jim Morrison from the Doors was reincarnated into a squirrel & lives on UCLA campus. Can be used as a cow magnet for some good natured bovine. Gets his name from a small mountain general store in North Carolina .
Mahalia
Mahalia born July 9, 1999 in Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo Japan. When Mahalia takes flight a huge wind is created that can be quite fragrant. Wings flap so fast they are unable to be seen moving. Stays in flight during most of the day. On Wednesdays after work Mahalia repairs electronic appliances free of charge. Very thoughtful in nature & a good advice giver. Mahalia’ s name comes from singer Mahalia Jackson . When first suggesting the name Mahalia my wife misheard me & thought I said “ Hell Yeah!”
Buford
Buford born May 11, 2002 in Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo Japan. Once a full time farmer Buford invented the Hot Dog tree. Delicious weird foot long weiners. Knows how to play every Frank Zappa song by heart on mandolin. His Indian name is Sky Highchief. Once toured with The Ike & Tina Turner Revue in the 70’s . Has photographic memory done in crayons. Buford’s name comes from the Sheriff of McNairy county in Tennessee from 1964-1970 Buford Pusser.
Miss Lerlene
Miss Lerlene born November 26, 2000 in Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo Japan. Miss Lerlene is a mad party girl who is in love with Harris Teeter. On certain days she can see into the future. Can be seen on full Moon nights just south of Mare Tranquillitas. Once made out with Pete Townshend in London. Can fly around earth in under 9 seconds. She sleeps only once a week. She has raised award winning clams in Alaska. Her name comes from a lunch lady in Bristol Tennessee who used to give me extra fish sticks.
Naskull
Naskull born September 3, 2001 in Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo Japan. A born explorer Naskull is almost never home. Always has great technical information & dirty jokes .Has a tattoo of Eugene Cernan. Has the ability to set objects on fire by just staring at them. Able to communicate with all animals. The laws of physics do not apply to Naskull. Dreams of owning & operation a Holiday Inn somewhere in West Texas. Naskull’s name comes from a combination of NASA & skull.
Skippy
Skippy born April 28, 2002 in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo Japan. Skippy is very romantic & sweet. She speaks in only whispers. She is always holding a love letter. NASA isn’t sure what she’s doing, but they’re monitoring her. Has traveled back in time on six occasions. She doesn’t have hobbies she has experiments. Once a year in November she projects her dreams to drive inn movie theaters across America. Skippy’s name comes from John & Mary. It’s what they called my mother when she was a baby.
Pepe’
Pepe’ born August 23, 2002 in the Kunitachi area of Tokyo Japan . Pepe’ has the ability to read minds. He is very quiet & rarely speaks. Will only speak to Buford & Jarvis on Fridays. Most of the time very Zen like. Can play almost any musical instrument. A master at jumping rope while drinking whiskey. Being in close contact with Pepe’ for prolonged times can cause fingernail sensitivity. Pepe’ gets his name from someone calling out Pepe’ over & over while we were asleep in a an apartment next to the Chrome Hearts factory in Los Angeles.
Miss Twitty
Miss Twitty born January 19, 2002 in the Aoyama area of Tokyo Japan. Miss Twitty a staunch advocate for topless woman, never wears a shirt. Has the ability to cause all humans to have an immediate & intense orgasm. Spoke to Carl Sagan for 30 minutes in the 1960’s. Was once in a band with Miss Lerlene until the third member “Miss Clarence” disappeared in Caltabellotta. Her personality is so great when she was a child all her friends were chickens. Miss Twitty gets her name from country singer Conway Twitty who she adored.
Jarvis
Jarvis born February 14, 2004 in Los Angeles California. Jarvis an expert in sexual positions must sleep for 1 month after a sexual performance. Has a indestructible digestive system meaning he can eat anything to survive. Jarvis comes from Kepler-90 . Has played the lead role in Hamlet twice on Broadway. . Semi-conscious at all times. A vegetarian who only eats flowers. Able to hear the sound of a hard penis. Further study is warranted. Jarvis gets his name from Sex Pistol Steve Jones. Steve’s real fathers name was Don Jarvis.
Delphino
Delphino born November 27, 2004 Los Angeles California . Delphino only eats pork from Munich Germany. Is a classically trained dancer that can do any Gene Kelly dance upon request. Once defended an Amazon village with only a mug of gravy. Can take flight & achieve escape velocity in under 9 seconds. Loves almost everyone he meets. Retrieves lost echos in abandoned canyons. Delphino gets his name from a LA Dodgers ball boy we saw at a game in 2002. A group of girls kept calling out “Delphino! Delphino!”
Skeeter
Skeeter born October 18, 2004 in Hollywood California . Skeeter was adopted from a shelter near the LaBrea Tar Pits in Los Angeles. Translates thunderstorms in Tennessee. Able to adjust the volume of silence. Owns a weather tower in New York City. Will chase tail to confuse the universe. Will only listen to Chuck Berry music. A close friend to the Squirrel King. Mostly Harmless. Skeeter gets his name from a guy I knew who worked at a gas station in Georgia.
